Vegan Chocolate Donuts with Chocolate Superfood Glaze


Dry Ingredients:
½ cup sugar
1 ½ tsp baking powder
¼ tsp sea salt
1/4 cup cocoa powder
1 scoop MacroMeal chocolate protein powder
1 cup all-purpose baking flour

Wet Ingredients:
½ cup chocolate almond milk
½ tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp apple cider vinegar
1/3 cup Coconut Oil, melted
1 chia egg (1 Tbsp chia seed and 3 Tbsps of water. Let sit for 10 minutes) or 1 egg

1 ¼ cup powdered sugar
¼ cup chocolate almond milk
1/2 scoop chocolate protein powder


Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease a nonstick donut pan with coconut oil.
Mix together dry ingredients. Then stir in wet ingredients
Place the batter into each cavity in a donut pan(fill 3/4 full) and tap the pan gently.
Bake for 15 minutes and let cool in pan 15 minutes before removing.
To make the glaze: whisk together glaze ingredients.
After donuts have cooled, frost each donut with the glaze.
Top with sprinkles if desired.

To make the green or red glaze just omit the protein powder and use 1 teaspoon of the Macro Greens or Miracle Reds Superfood powders. Use MacroMeal vanilla protein powder and plain almond milk for a vanilla glaze.
