We routinely get many questions about MacroLife Naturals Products and the questions
below represent those most Frequently Asked Questions.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is my canister half full or half empty?

Now, that is the question… Our MacroLife powders use a extra fine mill to produce a great dissolve in liquid and a much lighter, delicate texture. Subsequently when Macro Greens or Miracle Reds is manufactured they have a very light and fluffy consistency so the extra space in each container is needed. This is so our customers get the same pleasing, lighter, and delicious flavor we love!

Additionally, our manufacturing practice is to overfill each container by 10%. So our customers receive even more than the guaranteed amount specified on the package.

Chronic Fatigue & Fibromyalgia Recommendations By Dr. Edward Wagner, DC
QUESTION:
Do you have a recommended program using Macro Greens?ANSWER:I recommend starting the day with a tablespoon of Macro Greens superfood mixed in water or organic apple juice. Then 20 minutes later, eat some yogurt and berries or some oatmeal. In the late morning and again in the late afternoon, have another teaspoon of MG, again mixed with water or juice. Use it in place of coffee as a quick “pick me up.” Eat a balanced lunch and dinner of healthy protein and vegetables. Do this for six weeks, religiously, and you will notice more energy and a different body shape. The more committed you are to the program, the more quickly and effectively your health will improve.

QUESTION:
You don’t mention many carbohydrates. Are there any good carbohydrates that you recommend?

ANSWER:

Vegetarians eat entirely too much brown rice. It’s difficult to digest. I think good pasta is a great carbohydrate source. I particularly like the brand DeBoles. And for bread, eat sourdough. It’s the easiest to digest as it kills mold and is already partially digested for you

QUESTION:
The program you lay out is pretty limited. How will people stick to it? And in particular, those with a more acidic condition in the body crave carbs and sweets. How will they resist?

ANSWER:

That’s where Macro Greens works better than any supplement I’ve seen. In feeding your body the vital nutrients it needs at a cellular level with each serving of Macro Greens, your body responds by craving more of the same. You will find that once you start drinking Macro Greens, your body will actually crave healthy food. Junk food, sweets, carbs—they will no longer appeal to you. And it immediately begins to alkalize the body, so the acidic condition neutralizes and cravings diminish. It puts your body on the right track.

What type of juice should I use with Macro Greens?

We recommend to not mix Macro Greens with any citrus juice or any juice that would be too acid like tomato, orange or grapefruit juice, because it kills the friendly bacteria in the Macro Greens.

The best juice to use is apple, white grape, pear, peach, white cranberry, or apricot to name a few. You can also make a smoothie with rice milk, or almond milk, bananas, blueberries, and even add protein powder for a complete meal replacement!

Are the ingredients processed at low temperatures to help preserve the nutrients???

Most of the ingredients in MacroLife products are cold processed or are processed at low temperatures to ensure enzyme bioactivity. With the exception of the vitamin E and a few herbs and extracts such as; Silymarin, Green Tea, Grape Seed, Ginkgo Biloba, Eleuthero Root, and Echinacea.

The baby barley grass juice powder utilizes a patented cold process to assure the most bio-ability and superior quality.

What are the white speckles that appear when Macro Greens and Miracle Reds settles in my glass?

Don’t be alarmed by the layers of rainbow color, they represent the colors of nature. Settling in a glass will naturally bring out these colors.

The white speckles are Vitamin E, Lecithin, and or plant sterols (Miracle Reds) that are slightly less water-soluble than the rest of the ingredients. Don’t worry, simply stir and enjoy!

When I mix Macro Greens in juice/water and it sits a bit- why does the liquid turn reddish when Macro Greens settles?

I’ve been buying the same product for years, why does the product taste different sometimes?

All MacroLife products are mixtures of happy organic fruits, berries, and plant extracts that are never synthetic! This is why the taste may change depending on harvesting season, but the ingredients remain in the same amounts.

Should I use other vitamin supplements with Macro Greens or Miracle Reds superfoods?
Our Super-Foods are foundational formulas providing most of the vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants you need for the day, just like the once a day multi vitamin formulas. However, if you feel that your body needs more of some of the vitamins or minerals than is contained in Macro Greens or Miracle Reds, we suggest you contine taking that/those supplement(s) every other day or half the amount per day along with a well balanced diet.
Some recommendations we like to suggest for additional supplements are: Calcium/Magnesium (2 to 1 ratio) supplement to fulfill your RDI (Recommended Daily Intake) and a Omega 3 supplement like Flax Seed, or fish oils for EFA’S (essential fatty acids).
What about mixing dairy products with Macro Greens or Miracle Reds?

I noticed a few of the Macro Green and Miracle Reds recipes suggest using yogurt or milk. Does consuming dairy products with Macro Greens inhibit the proper absorption of the product? I ask because so many supplements specifically say NOT to take with dairy products.

Mixing any MacroLife product with dairy does not inhibit the absorption of the vitamins or minerals at all. You can add any MacroLife powder into anything but very hot (boiling) liquid or very acidic juices. We suggest that you mix all MacroLife powders with soy, almond or rice milk for a great tasting alternative to juice or water.

In addition, Macro Greens does not contain: MSG, preservatives, artificial flavoring, maltodextrin, wheat, gluten, corn, yeast, egg, salt, kelp, casein, dairy or animal products.

How much Vitamin K is in your Super-Foods and does it interfere with the efficacy of anti-coagulants such as wayfarin (Coumadin®, Jantoven®, Marevan®, and Waran®)?

Vitamin K — known for its blood-clotting properties — decreases the effects of anti-coagulant drugs such as wayfarin (Coumadin®, Jantoven®, Marevan®, and Waran®), which are used for the prophylaxis of thrombosis and embolism. We do not add any Vitamin K to any product we make. However, Vitamin K is naturally-occurring in some of the ingredients but in very low amounts.

Can I mix Miracle Reds and Macro Greens together?

QUESTION:

Can you tell me if I can mix the 2 into one drink or is it more beneficial to drink them separately?

ANSWER:

Many customers ask us if it’s okay to combine Miracle Reds and Macro Greens or drink them together.  If you are taking both Macro Greens and Miracle Reds, try having a glass of either Macro Greens or Miracle Reds as part of your breakfast and the other as a convenient, stimulant-free afternoon energy boost.  As part of a balanced, low-glycemic, alkalizing diet, drinking Macro Greens and Miracle Reds throughout the day will help you experience greater mental acuity and regulated energy levels which, in turn, will help you make better food choices if you are trying to lose weight.

It is not advisable, however, to take both Greens and Reds at the same time as the concentration and potency of vitamins, minerals, and nutrients may be too much for the body to digest readily.

Another alternative serving suggestion is to mix a small amount of Macro Greens or Miracle Reds powder in a large water bottle, fill with water, add a splash of apple juice, to taste and drink throughout the day!  Drinking a dilution like this will ensure that your body receives a continual influx of the vitamins, minerals and nutrients contained in Macro Greens and Miracle Reds.
